Alison Lake is the Institute’s Managing Editor and Media Director. Her articles have appeared in publications such as The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor, The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Social Justice Review, Washington Woman, The World & I, and others. Her book, Colonial Rosary: The Spanish and Indian Missions of California will be published in 2006 by Ohio University Press.
Alison received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University. A former elementary school teacher, she also served as evaluator for the Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon Schools program in Washington D.C. Her policy interests include school choice, public school reform, and social policy.
